History

KMA SA is a privately owned company that was founded in March 1998 in Durban, South Africa, the largest port on the east coast of Africa. Durban is the main gateway for products entering the southern African subcontinent and has a sophisticated harbour facility capable of handling containerized and bulk shipments.

KMA SA initially focused on the supply of recycled plastics and leather products. Over the past few years the company shifted its focus to engineering thermoplastics (nylons and polyurethanes). Presently the company’s polymer product range has been expanded to include a broad range of both commodity and speciality plastic materials as well as a range of chemical products for the paper and plastics industry.

KMA SA head office is based in Durban with facilities in Cape Town and Johannesburg, with affiliated offices based in Mauritius, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The company markets its products through the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa. KMA SA personnel have over 80 years of combined experience in the plastics and chemical industry.
